This is an Armlifting USA sanctioned competition. All competitors must be current members of Armlifting USA. Membership can be purchased here. 

DATE: Sunday, February 10, 2019

TIMES: Early Weigh Ins 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9th at hotel TBD. Regular weigh ins Sunday morning 8:00 - 8:30 at contest venue. See map of Building B below for location of competition area.  We are in the strongman area. Contest begins at 9:00 AM Sunday.

WEIGHT CLASSES: All standard APL weight classes will be used. Men's 60kg, 70kg, 80kg, 90kg, 100kg, 110kg, 125kg, 125kg+. Women's 60kg, 80kg, 80kg+. In addition, Masters classes will be contested too. Please see entry form for more details. 

COST: $25.00 before January 15th, $30 after that. Entry combined with strongman competition reduces cost to $20. Entry fee includes 1 free entrance into expo. All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are unable to participate in this event for any reason, you forfeit your registration monies.

EVENTS:

1. Saxon Bar Deadlift. Athletes will three attempts to lift the most weight possible on the 3" wide side of the Saxon Bar. Must be lifted with a double overhand grip. Chalk is the only grip aid allowed. Weight must be lifted and held at lockout with hips through, shoulders back, and held under control while waiting for judge's DOWN command. Weight cannot be dropped. We will start at 85lbs on Saxon Bar and go up in 10lb jumps; lifter can jump in at any time or pass at any weight. Once a lifter misses, they are done. Lifter can attempt the lift as many times as they like in 30 seconds. 

2. Silver Bullet HoldAthletes will have to close an Ironmind hand gripper of their choice on the Silver Bullet and hold a 2.5kg plate for as long as possible. Each athlete will have thirty seconds to start their attempt and may use their other hand to assist in getting the Silver Bullet into position. Their official time won't start until the assisting hand is pulled away and the gripping hand is motionless. All athletes will go through this event once. 

3. Country Crush Deadlift. Athletes will have three attempts to lift the most weight possible on the 2" Country Crush deadlift. Weight will be on a regular Ironmind loading pin. Chalk is the only grip aid allowed. Weight must be lifted and held at lockout with hips through, shoulders back, and held under control while waiting for judge's DOWN command. Weight cannot be dropped. We will start at 150lbs and go up in 10lb jumps until there are 3 left; lifter can jump in at any time or pass at any weight. Once a lifter misses, they are done. Lifter can attempt the lift as many times as they like in 30 seconds.

4. Thumbless Axle Deadlift. Athletes will three attempts to lift the most weight possible with a double overhand thumbless grip on the Ironmind Apollon's Axle. Chalk is the only grip aid allowed. Weight must be lifted and held at lockout with hips through, shoulders back, and held under control while waiting for judge's DOWN command. Weight cannot be dropped. We will start at 70kg and go up in 5kg jumps until there are 3 left. Lifter can jump in at any time or pass at any weight. Once a lifter misses, they are done. Lifter can only attempt the lift once during their 30 second turn at this event.

5. Excalibur Deadlift. Athletes will have three attempts to lift the most weight possible on the Bear Grip Excalibur handle. Chalk is the only grip aid allowed. Weight must be lifted and held at lockout with hips through, shoulders back, and held under control while waiting for judge's DOWN command. Weight cannot be dropped. We will start at 40kg and go up in 5kg jumps until there are 3 left. Lifter can jump in at any time or pass at any weight. Once a lifter misses, they are done. Lifter can attempt the lift as many times as they like in 30 seconds.
